Today was my first time at this park, and it did not disappoint. Initially, the park doesn't seem like much, but after the first few feet, you get a fork in the path; I chose to go right. Instantly I am bombarded with Florida's infamous beauty. To each side of me, there are cabbage palms, grand oaks, and canopy after canopy of green waterfalls as I walk down the paved path. As I'm walking, I come across a lake. Once I approach the lake, I can see little heads bobbing from the water; they are turtles, they gollow me as a cross a bridge. Next, I come across different species of ducks, a few bunnies, and squirrels, of course. An hour later, my guy and I call it a day. This park is among the most active with people and animals. What a beautiful way to end a beautiful day.
BONUS: There is a dog park along the trail!
Beautiful paved path, we love going for early morning and early evening walks through the park. It’s peaceful and we usually spot wildlife like birds, rabbits, turtles, and squirrels. Great spot to walk our dogs plus there’s a good sized dog park. Love it!
A wonderful clean environment family and friends as well as children would enjoy.
As this is a neighborhood park, many streets butt up to it, yet it feels very rural with the overhanging trees. A 1/2 mile paved track winds thru it. Squirrels and an iguana crossed my path the day I took my walk. There is also a unique fitness playground and “Little Library” on the outskirts of the property. There are lights which allows the park to be open 5am to 11pm.
Great place to relax, feed the ducks and count the turtles ...especially soothing when the fountain is on. I walk it nearly everyday. Nice place to meet neighbors and their dogs. Also has tennis and swimming. I love it.
This is a nice park nestled in the Sarasota Memorial area of Sarasota Florida. Once you’ve arrived at the park you will notice the nice public pool. However due to COVID-19 the pool is only open for lap swimming by reservations only. Masks must be worn Arrington and leaving the pool area. Each reservation spot lasts for forty five minutes. The pool is heated.
There is a nice large dog park within the walking trail. The dog park has small cooling off pools for the dogs to play in. Water so that you can not only give your dog a fresh drink but also put fresh water in the little pools. There are plenty of picnic tables for sitting while watching the dogs inside the fenced in area. I also noticed that people leave their own chairs there for people to sit in a more comfortable chair.
This park has a really nice walking trail filled with wildlife. There are many different species of birds. Several species of turtles. All of them act as though you are going to feed them. I’m guessing people must feed them. They are so used to the dogs coming and going that it really doesn’t seem to affect them.
There is a compose area for the plant life in the park. There are many beautiful plants to enjoy while walking the trail.
The game Pokémon go has several stops in the park.
There are benches and picnic tables throughout the park for your enjoyment.
This quiet neighborhood park is a shady oasis from the hustle and bustle just moments away at Memorial Hospital. Slip under the tree canopy, listen to the birds... reconnect to the beautiful world we live in. You might catch a glimpse of some turtles hanging out around the pond. This is a perfect place for a picnic with someone special or a slow stroll to clear your head.
An oasis in the neighborhood. We used the dog park -- there are 2; one for large and one for small dogs -- and it was spacious and clean, with fresh water available.
Beautiful walking path, tennis courts, swimming pool, and rec hall. Open to all.
